Overview

The workstation editions of RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell are supplied as individual cards for upgrading existing workstations and for customers who build their own. Both editions carry 96 GB of GDDR7 with ECC, 24,064 CUDA cores and 4,000 AI TOPS; they differ in cooling and power, and that difference decides how many fit in a chassis.

The Workstation Edition at 600 W uses a double flow through cooler that needs open space around it, so it suits one or two GPU systems with a strong power supply. The Max-Q Workstation Edition at 300 W uses a blower that exhausts out the back, which is what makes four GPU towers and rackmount workstations possible, and it adds Multi Instance GPU with up to four partitions.

We confirm the chassis, power supply and slot spacing before shipping cards for a multi GPU upgrade. Workstation GPUs do not require NVIDIA data center end user registration, but export control rules still apply to international shipments and we handle the paperwork.
