Overview

AMD EPYC 9005 is the processor family across most of our servers, chosen for 12 memory channels, 128 PCIe Gen5 lanes and the widest range of core counts. We supply it as a component for customers who build their own systems, upgrade existing SP5 platforms or keep spares for a fleet.

The family spans 16 core parts for control plane and storage nodes, high frequency models for licensed and latency sensitive software, and 128 to 192 core parts for the CPU tier of GPU clusters and for virtualization. Dense core variants trade some per core performance for the highest thread counts per socket.

Tell us the server model and we confirm the BIOS level, cooler rating and memory population before shipping, and we supply matched pairs for dual socket boards. Processors are original manufacturer parts in boxed or tray packaging with the manufacturer warranty, and we keep common models available for fleet spares.

Use cases

  • Self built servers
  • Upgrading SP5 platforms
  • Fleet spares
  • CPU tier expansion

Compliance

This product is not a data center GPU system and does not require NVIDIA end user registration. Standard export documentation applies. Read about export compliance.

Compare it with the next class up or down

The nearest classes we quote are the Intel Xeon 6 CPUs and the DDR5 RDIMM server memory. If neither is quite right, tell us the workload and we specify the system between them.
